HEATLOK SOY®
HEATLOK SOY®, a closed cell Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation, is an environmentally-friendly foam developed from recycled plastic materials, renewable soy oils, and possesses the zero ozone depletion potential blowing agent HFC 245FA, which is approved by EPA for the protection of the environment. It is one of the most effective insulating materials available today. This helps to more efficiently utilize the world’s non renewable resources. HEATLOK SOY® can reduce excess waste and energy consumption in buildings by up to 50%. By using HEATLOK SOY® it is possible to reduce the size of the HVAC equipment.
HEATLOK SOY® is a two-component spray-applied rigid polyurethane foam, green in color, having a nominal density 2 lbs/ft³. It is used primarily as an air barrier and vapor barrier, while using minimum material acting as insulation. HEATLOK SOY® exhibits a very low air leakage and can be classified as a Type II vapor retarder. When applied on the exterior of buildings, HEATLOK SOY® can assume the role of both the drain plane and the rain screen providing an excellent water resistive barrier. The popularity of this product is growing with insulation contractors, builders, and architects because of the ease and speed of application.

Always check local codes before using this product. It is highly suggested that in all applications the foam be protected by either of the following: drywall, metal, cements, or other protective coating, especially when used outside. This product should not be used when the continuous service temperature of the substrate is outside the range of -76°F to 176°F.
